About Now-Yoga

Madhu believes that through a balanced body, a calm mind is experienced. Through a calm mind a fuller experience of life, of NOW is available. Not in the past and not in the future, NOW is the only time and place we live and act in.

Her Hatha yoga classes reflect this philosophy. Postures are directed to flow with and through the breath. A meditative attention is encouraged for participants to find their own comfort in postures. Every class includes asana (posture), pranayama (conscious breathing practice), mudra (conscious gesture), and bandha (holds).

Yoga is a Sanskrit word that means “to yolk”. Yoga is therefore the experience of yolking together the mind and body through the breath. When body and mind align a greater sense of well being is experienced and a state of equilibrium experienced.

The state achieved by the choice we make in the NOW.
